Beach Day

This weekend, since there was no bike race and we had an extra day with the holiday, we enjoyed lots of family time.  On Sunday, it was expected to get up to 95 and humid here, so we decided to take the kids to the beach for the afternoon.  The water was freezing, but it didn't stop our brave girl.  She was running in and out of the waves all afternoon, even wading in almost to her waist!  She begged me a few times to take her a little further and we had so much fun giggling as the waves almost knocked us over.  The "boys" spent the afternoon digging a hole in the sand and building a moat.  We were all covered in sand by the end of our afternoon, but it was an afternoon well spent for the memories we will cherish and the precious time spent together as a family.
